Hi, it’s Álvaro.
Before you say yes to surgery, get a second opinion — and read what you should know before going under the knife.
I’ve helped many patients avoid spinal fusions, knee replacements, and other major surgeries through our intensive physiotherapy programs.
Surgery may seem like a quick fix, but:
It’s irreversible
Recovery can be long and painful
It doesn’t always solve the root cause
In many cases, targeted physiotherapy, neurostimulation (like Scenar), and strength training can get you out of pain and back to life — without the risks of surgery.
Let’s explore your options before choosing the knife.
Here’s what I’ve learned from experience
Most people think surgery is the last resort. But too often, it’s offered as the first. I’ve met patients who were already scheduled for operations when they came to see me — and a few weeks later, they were pain-free without ever going under the knife.
Physiotherapy isn’t magic. It’s a process of identifying the cause of your pain and giving your body the support it needs to heal. That might involve joint mobilization, postural corrections, neuromuscular stimulation, or simply helping you regain confidence in movement.
Think of it like this:
Surgery removes or replaces — physiotherapy restores and rebuilds.
When done right, physiotherapy can:
Improve joint function
Strengthen surrounding muscles
Address movement habits that caused the issue
And unlike surgery, it carries little to no risk. Worst case? You’re better prepared for surgery if it turns out to be necessary.
Let’s talk before you make a decision you can’t undo.
Pain is a signal — not a sentence.
Álvaro
